Popcorn popping in slo-mo sure beats watching paint dry

This Slow Mo Guys' video of popcorn popping shows us exactly why you need to keep that lid on tight as it gives us a sneak peek into what's going on inside that pot. Though these dudes may seem laid-back (note the "I Was Born to Take It Easy" T-shirt on the guy on the left), their equipment is anything but. While the popping kernels, shot with an HD cinema-quality Phantom Flex high-speed camera, look cool at 2,500 frames per second, tune in at 2:47 to catch the action at an amazing 10,000 frames per second. We especially like the sizzling, splattering oil, but we're glad to be watching it at a distance.
