The 85-year-old Pope Benedict XVI has already been labeled “the green pope” for his papacy’s emphasis on the environment, and on Wednesday he lived up to the title when he was given his first electric car. His brand new $20,000 white Renault Kangaroo will whisk him around the gardens of his summer estate at Castel Gandolfo. He’ll also have a blue Kangaroo to bump around Vatican City in. Makes sense.
