2/23/2013Anyone who was hoping Pope Benedict XVI would retire to develop a late-in-life career as a brunch-shooting Instagrammer will be disappointed. Vatican Radio has announced that the retiring pontiff will close down his social-media presence, including his much-ballyhooed Twitter accounts, as he leaves the spotlight for a prayerful retirement. This is sure to disappoint his 1.5 million followers and means that the pope has just six days before his Feb. 28 retirement to come up with his final tweet. No pressure, though.
