Pope's holy dove attacked by evil secular seagull

1/28/2013

If the pope didn’t believe in Darwinism before, we bet he does now. Pope Benedict XVI released a dove from his window in Vatican City's St. Peter's Square yesterday, only to see it attacked by a seagull, enacting a tiny drama of "survival of the fittest." The dove must have a guardian angel looking out for it, because it outmaneuvered the ungainly gull and flew away to safety. Doves are a ceremonial symbol used to mark the end of prayers and reflect the tranquility of the Christian faith. Seagulls are stomachs with wings that poop everywhere and can easily ruin beach picnics.
