A German study of 28 heterosexual men averaging 26 years old suggests that working memory, aka short-term memory, is affected by viewing porn. The study only examined the effects on short-term memory WHILE looking at pornographic images, so it's still possible that one's love for porn may not permanently alter short-term memory. However, researchers believe this study could help explain why people with porn addiction "forget to sleep, miss appointments, shirk job responsibilities and neglect relationships," which, in fairness, can be factors in almost any addiction. [Source]
