Two states top activists' lists to legalize pot next1/1/2013
It's been a banner year for potheads, as laws legalizing the personal possession of marijuana passed in Colorado and Washington. (Standard caveat: It's still illegal under federal laws, but President Obama says the feds are busy with, basically, everything else.) Now, pro-pot advocates are taking a uncharacteristically ambitious look at their future goals -- and they're targeting Oregon and California for expanded access. Medical marijuana is already legal in both states, and now pot supporters are working out whether to pursue ballot initiatives in 2014 or at the next presidential election in 2016. [Source]
