Fugees star sues director over plundered pirate movie footage
12/2/2012Fugees rapper Pras Michel was making a movie about pirates, but claims his footage was pillaged by a scurvy dog director, so he's suing to get it back. Depending on whom you believe, Pras was either captured by Somali pirates, or he just witnessed the capture of the Maersk Alabama in April 2009. Either way, he hired Marshall Tyler to direct a documentary called "Paper Dreams" about East African piracy. But the rapper says he never received a frame of the flick. He must be so disappointed. Like the rest of the world was when we didn't get a third Fugees album. That's karma for you, Pras. [Source]
