Tidy Brit cleans up property by destroying prehistoric monument
10/29/2012We all know a cleaning-obsessive; someone who's not content until everything he owns is sparkling and orderly. Well one British man has taken OCD-centric tendencies to an unlawful level by hiring contractors to "tidy" up his property, filling in portions of a prehistoric monument dating back to the same time as Stonehenge. Roger Penny, 73, owns the land in Somerset, England, where four huge earthwork rings, called "Priddy Circles," are located. Penny failed to get approval for work on the rings from conservation organization English Heritage and he’s been ordered by the courts to pay over $59,000 for work to undo his damage. Sometimes people just can’t help themselves from trying to improve on the past. [Source]
