Bacon, sausage, ham, pepperoni — each as deadly as it is tasty!

3/7/2013

According to the findings of a European study which followed thousands of people from 10 countries, those who ate more than five-and-a-half ounces of processed meat daily died younger than those who didn't. Any more than a couple sausages and one measly rasher of bacon increased the chances of dying within a 13-year period 44 percent against those who limited their intake to around three-quarters of an ounce. Although those that pigged out on salty, fat-dripping meaty treats tended to be generally unfit, the results indicated that processed meat alone drastically increased the risk of cardiovascular disease. Still, at least they died with smiles on their greasy faces. [Source]
