Professor says watching porn online can scar kids for life
5/26/2012A professor from Wheaton College in Illinois has testified that children ages 9 to 14 can be "scarred for life" if they view porn on the Internet. Dr. William Struthers told the British parliament that most young people find the smut by accident, and that 80 percent of them never talk to anyone about what they've viewed, yet will try to act out the scenes later in life. The testimony was reported by The Daily Mail, which is building a campaign to stop "unregulated" Internet porn (despite trafficking in photos of bikini-clad starlets). Furious commenters hammered Mail's supposed hypocrisy, while others found the research spot-on. Maybe it's time for everyone to take a cold shower.
