Psychologists say booze boosts creativity at work

Psychologists at the University of Illinois have validated what every artist, musician and writer has known since ancient Greek times: a few cocktails can boost creativity. This helps to explain the counterintuitive success of the three-martini lunches on Madison Avenue in the 1960s, all the way to Silicon Valley tech startups today. It should be noted that alcohol mixed with mundane tasks -- say data entry or operating heavy machinery -- is still considered unproductive, not to mention highly dangerous. [Source]
