Housing authority admits US flag ban was a 'mistake'
7/12/2012The stars and stripes are free to fly in a Massachusetts public housing complex after officials admitted a notice informing residents that flag displays were prohibited in common areas was a mistake. The Wrentham Housing Authority had taped the notices to residents' doors on Wednesday saying one tenant wasn’t a fan of the flag flying in common areas. However, once the Department of Housing and Community Development became aware of the ban, they immediately labeled the move an error, eliminated the ban and said there were no problems with residents' "respectful and safe displays of the American flag." Do you think flying the flag should ever be limited?
