Dog food company rejects claims it's killing pets
2/5/2013Nestle has been quick to refute claims their Purina Beneful lines of dog food are responsible for illness and death among dogs. Hundreds of comments from dog owners on the Consumer Affairs website attribute a range of symptoms to the food including vomiting, diarrhea, cysts, and kidney failure, with vets also reporting bacterial infections and high levels of toxins in pets. A spokesperson for Nestle Purina, Keith Schopp, said the allegations were false. "There are no known issues with Beneful dog food," he said. "Consumers can continue to feed Beneful to their pets with total confidence." [Source]
