Queen Elizabeth II will feast on this gross fish for Jubilee

Sea lampreys look like aliens from a bad sci-fi flick, and fishermen in the Great Lakes region hate them because they feed on their livelihood. But in merry old England, they're a treat fit for a queen. These jawless fish and their creepy sucking mouths are a key ingredient in a traditional English pie that Queen Elizabeth II is going to proudly receive as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebration. The pie is a gift from the city of Gloucester, but as the fish are endangered in the U.K., city officials there have been forced to import good ol' Great Lakes lamprey (which we assume the locals were only too happy to supply) to make sure the celebrations go off without a hitch.
