On Saturday, Queen Elizabeth II stirred up the buzz in the Olympic Village when she popped in on the athletes for what became an instant Twitter photo op. As charming as she was in her Opening Ceremonies cameo ("We Are Amused," proclaimed the British press), she was just as big a hit in the village. Tweeted Aussie swimmer Cameron McEvoy with a picture, "Me and the Queen kicking it with some other randoms #whoinvitedthem." Often perceived as stiff and cold, Her Royal Highness has gone and gotten herself an Olympic makeover. [Source]
