Quick-thinking garbagemen save tiny kitten from truck

7/6/2012

Look at this sweet kitten. Just look at her tiny widdle paws and her sweet widdle ears! This 3-week-old ball of adorable was rescued from being crushed in the back of a recycling truck after a terrible person dumped her in the trash. The drivers of the Devon (UK) Contract Waste truck heard her cries and immediately stopped the machinery, and the kitten -- now nicknamed "Lucky" -- fell to safety. "What a terrifying ordeal to put a little creature through," a company spokeswoman said. "If they didn't want her, they could have taken her to a rescue center." Lucky, luckily, is now being cared for and bottle fed by the Devon Contract Waste staff.
