Squee! Bunnies are attacking cars at the Denver airport

2/16/2013

Of all the things that could cause a crisis at an airport, bunnies — adorable, adorable bunnies — would not seem to be one of them. But officials at Denver International Airport are about to get all Elmer Fudd on the cuddly critters. It’s wabbit season. The bunny bandits have been chewing through the wiring in cars that passengers have parked at the airport, often causing hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars in damage. Wildlife service officials are removing 100 rabbits a month, but the bunnies are still cutely wreaking havoc. New measures include installing a new fence, building perches for hawks and eagles and even coating wires with coyote urine. [Source]
