Tennis player's backside no more effective than his backhand
1/19/2013There's no time to huddle up and concoct a new play in the middle of a tennis point. Radek Stepanek knew his piddly volley was going to come back as a rocket off the racquet of top-seeded Novak Djokovic, so the Czech player tried to escape disaster with, well, a bum steer. Was he trying to distract the world's No. 1 player into a hitting the ball into the seats? Or was he just keeping his jingle bells from being rung by a 100 mph forehand? Djokovic wound up winning the Australian Open match in straight sets, and Stepanek will take his fanny business to the next tournament.
