Watch this retro 1980s cellphone ad on your new iPhone 5
9/21/2012Almost 800 bucks for a cellphone? No, it's not an out-of-contract iPhone, it's this cinder-block-sized monstrosity that RadioShack marketed in the late 1980s. Apparently, dropping eight Benjamins so you could carry what looks like a minifridge with an attached cord (LOL, PHONES WITH CORDS) was quite the bargain back then. One site wondered if, like, 20-odd years ago, people were camping out for these things. Actually, what's even scarier is the thought that there's some hipster watching this and thinking, "Man, that would look AMAZING with my ironic mustache." [Source]
