Father of the original 'Karate Kid' wants to build a gigantic zip line
1/20/2013Ralph Macchio Sr. wants to build a 3,500-foot long zip line, accessible by a 34-foot tower to connect two of his properties, French Mountain and Wild West Ranch, in New York. Whether or not this is specifically to train his son Ralph Macchio to better his karate skills in midflight is not known. The zip line, if approved, would be part of a $1.5 million tourist attraction for the area, complete with an outdoor amphitheater, parking and shopping. If it is not approved we’ll be blaming William Zabka, aka Johnny Lawrence in "The Karate Kid," because we have trouble separating '80s movies and reality. [Source]
