20 insane 3-D drawings that will melt your mind a little

It's pretty amazing what Dutch illustrator Ramon Bruin can do with just some pencils and paper. In Bruin's 3-D drawings, birds seem to take flight, feathers fall to Earth and monsters' tails poke through the page and into the air. Notably, there are two layers of illusion here: the drawing itself, and the equally challenging step of photographing the drawing in such a way that the 3-D effect is heightened. Otherwise, the magic — for example, Bruin seeming to lift the page to discover a monster underneath — would be lost. It's a delicate, clever treat.
