Rangers unveil Texas-sized, $26 ballpark frank
3/25/2012Is a pound of tubular mystery beef parts worth $26? The Texas Rangers think so. This season, the ballclub is introducing the Champion Dog -- a one-pound, almost-two-foot-long all-beef frank -- at Rangers Ballpark for the aforementioned $26. The dog, which ostensibly feeds four people, is topped with shredded cheese, chili and sautéed onions, and it's served with fries. The monstrous meal will be sold at the Captain Morgan sports bar, where it will also be presented on a two-foot-long cutting board, and at one of the concession stands in the park. This isn't even the club's first go-around with obesity-friendly foodstuffs -- last season, it began selling a three-pound pretzel.
