Rapper sued by concert promoter who says he was kidnapped in Angola
12/23/2012If you’re going to hire Nas to play a show for you all the way in Angola, you want to make sure he shows up. A music promoter is suing the famous Queens rapper because he was captured at gunpoint and held hostage for 50 days after Nas no-showed on a much-hyped New Year's Eve gig. Patrick Allocco says Nas was scheduled to play a show in the capital city of Luanda but blew it off to attend a party in Miami for NBA star LeBron James, leaving the promoter to face angry Angolan authorities. Allocco is now free and suing the hip-hop artist for $10 million for breach of contract. Guess the world isn't totally yours, Nas. [Source]
