Rare spotless cheetah caught on camera in Kenya
4/26/2012This spotless cheetah, the latest addition to the growing list of rare animals caught on camera, is the first one spotted (ahem) since 1921. Wildlife photographer Guy Combes set out in Kenya to capture an image of the elusive creature but gave up after several days. He returned when sightings were again reported by locals. Combes said, "I didn't expect to see it at all, the area we were going to search was 100,000 acres." The photos were actually shot last year, but Combes has just released them after images of a rare strawberry-colored leopard and a white killer whale surfaced. Do we sense a rare-creature photo competition brewing?
