Billboard sets clock for Ray Lewis' retirement, and it's no gold watch
1/19/2013Actually, the party's been going on for a couple of weeks for Ray Lewis, the Hall-of-Fame-bound Baltimore linebacker who announced his retirement effective at this season's end. The Ravens have pulled off two unlikely NFL playoff victories to reach Sunday's AFC championship game against the Patriots to make this an especially long goodbye, and now Clear Channel Outdoor in Boston has given them a little billboard material with seven LED displays around town featuring a countdown clock to suggest the party will be over for Lewis soon enough. Just what the Patriots need: a wake-up call for one of the best players in NFL history. [Source]
