Frighteningly realistic dinosaur enlivens Melbourne mall
8/12/2012Being a kid these days must be the greatest thing ever. Amazing CGI special effects in movies, controlling video games with nothing but your body, and an otherwise dull weekend shopping at the mall is interrupted by a life-sized dinosaur. This Utahraptor, a larger cousin of the more popular Velociraptor, was sniffing around a Melbourne mall to promote the traveling arena show "Walking with Dinosaurs," featuring 20 astonishingly lifelike dinosaurs. If you're thinking that such a realistic monster in a mall might frighten children, keep in mind this is Australia, where spiders eat snakes, and a Utahraptor probably isn't the scariest thing they've seen that week.
