Internet sleuths identified this piece of a hit & run vehicle (meatheaded via Reddit)

Reddit puts Columbo to shame, solves another hit-and-run

12/20/2012

Move over, Matlock. There's a new detective in town. An amateur sleuth (and obvious gearhead) on Reddit appears to have identified the year, make and model of a hit-and-run vehicle from little more than a broken light. Hours after a user by the name Meatheaded posted the mysterious photo asking for help, a fellow user casually and confidently declared: "That light came off a 1990 Cadillac Brougham." Sure enough, one had been listed stolen during the time of the investigation and dumped behind an abandoned house. Authorities have now been notified and, just like the crime Reddit solved back in May, crowdsourcing again saves the day. [Source]
