Redskins loss tips Romney for the win

Since 1940, the result of the Washington Redskins' last pre-election home game has predicted the next president with eerie accuracy. When the Redskins win this crucial game, the party that won the previous election stays in the White House, and if they lose, the non-incumbent party wins. This year the "Redskins Rule" deems that Mitt Romney will be our next president after the Redskins lost to the Carolina Panthers, 21-13. The only time the Redskins Rule has not held in the past 18 elections was when George W. Bush defeated John Kerry in 2004 after a Redskins loss. Soon we'll find out if that remains the only exception to the rule. [Source
