Reese spoke to her kids about Chris Brown and Rihanna

Talking about sex or drugs is a hard conversation to have with your kids, but addressing the issue of domestic violence can prove equally challenging. Reese Witherspoon isn't wasting any time educating her own children, 12-year-old Ava and 8-year-old Deacon. She told reporters at the 2nd World Conference of Women's Shelters that a dinner-table conversation in her household took place after the Chris Brown-Rihanna abuse incident. "I think it's very powerful for children to know they can make a change in their community and schools," she says.

On the subject of Brown and Rihanna's recent reunion, Witherspoon demured, commenting, "I don't know either one of them, so I can't really comment about their lives."
