Reg 'Wild Thing' Presley dies at home, aged 71

2/5/2013

Reg Presley, frontman of pioneering '60s rock band The Troggs, may be gone, but his voice will live forever. The singer of such seminal hits as "Wild Thing" (listen to it above), "Love is All Around" and "With a Girl Like You" died surrounded by family at his home in Hampshire, in England's south. In a letter to fans posted on The Troggs' website last month, Presley announced his retirement at age 71, saying he was being treated for lung cancer. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all … for your love, loyalty and support over the years," he wrote. [Source]
