Reggie Jackson unimpressed by undeserving Hall of Famers
7/6/2012Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson hit 563 home runs in his career, good for 13th in MLB history, and he knows good players when he sees them. But while all of his fellow Hall of Famers were arguably at least good, Mr. October doesn't think the Hall should be home to some of them. Up for debate? Jim Rice, Kirby Puckett, Bert Blyleven, Gary Carter, Don Sutton, and Phil Niekro. Jackson tells Sports Illustrated that he's going to ask for voters to set the bar a little higher in the future. And, in case you're wondering, Barry Bonds, a distant cousin, isn't tops on Jackson's list. "I believe that Hank Aaron is the home run king, not Barry Bonds."
Are there players in the Hall that you think are undeserving?
