Relatives of Aurora victims appalled by invite to theater reopening
1/3/2013Relatives of people killed in the Aurora movie theater at a midnight screening last July have rejected an invitation to attend the reopening of the Colorado theater. Parents, grandparents, cousins and a widow of nine of the 12 victims in the shooting sent a letter to the theater's owner, Cinemark, slamming the invitation to an "evening of remembrance" followed by a movie screening when the Aurora theater reopens on January 17. The relatives also deplored the "awful" timing of the "disgusting offer," which they received just after the first Christmas without their slain family members. [Source]
