Remote town devastated by bizarre Taco Bell hoax

6/15/2012

Residents of a small Alaskan town are devastated after their dreams of getting their very own Taco Bell were cruelly snatched away. Fliers posted around Bethel promised the franchise would be opening in the coming weeks, and even listed a (fake) website and (fake) contact number, not to mention where applicants could apply for (fake) jobs. Why the big deal? Bethel currently has zero fast food outlets, unless you count Subway. Sadly for burrito lovers, it turned out to be an elaborate "evil hoax" masterminded by a bored mischief maker -- and they'll just have to stick to healthy, home cooked fare for the time being.
