Reporter throws Twitter tantrum after ESPN snubs him
3/18/2012Andy Pettitte is returning to baseball, and nobody is angrier about it than Jack Curry. Curry is the reporter for the Yankees' YES Network who broke the news of Pettitte's return via his Twitter handle only to see ESPN give credit to their baseball guy, Buster Olney. Awful Announcing has the details of the fallout, with Curry retweeting about 80 anti-ESPN messages, stopping only when he had to board a plane. Olney defended his work, but Curry's larger beef was with the ESPN mother ship: "Final thought: Several outlets gave credit after Pettitte scoop. One major outlet didn't and then TOOK credit," he tweeted this morning. Play nice, kids: It isn't even the regular season yet.
Should ESPN have credited Jack Curry?
