GOP convention will be at birthplace of death metal music

Tampa, Fla. is the birthplace of death metal music, which is (of course) why it's a perfect location for the Republican National Convention! What better place to bring a bunch of pro-life Christians than to the land of devil-worshiping musicians shrieking about dead babies? Other than selecting a city in a hurricane zone, the irony in choosing Tampa -- the city that birthed songs like "Bleed for the Devil" and "Scar of the Crucifix" – to host one of the biggest GOP gatherings in four years has surprised a number of onlookers. "It's kind of like having a group called Abstinence for the Sexually Anxious holding its convention in San Francisco," said music critic Steve Huey.
