Political differences just due to brain wiring, scientists say

Researchers from England's University of Exeter and the University of California, San Diego have found that liberals' and conservatives' brains really don't work the same way. They analyzed the results of a previous experiment that subjected participants to a simple gambling game, and found that although Democrats and Republicans take the same risks, they process them with different parts of their brains. Democrats registered increased activity in an area of the brain associated with social and self-awareness, while Republicans registered it in an area of the brain associated with the body's fight-or-flight system. By measuring brain activity in these regions, the scientists say they can predict a person's political leanings with an impressive 82.9 percent accuracy. [Source]
