Restaurant mocks Chick-fil-A with chick-on-chick filet

Deep-fried chicken sandwiches continue to get political—this time at a Houston restaurant. Chef and owner Monica Pope is serving up a “Chick on Chick Filet,” made of “two loving chicken breasts married on toasty buns with a honey mustard witness and joined in celebration with tolerant fries." Pope herself is a lesbian and the name of her restaurant is “Beaver’s,” but hers isn’t the only establishment promoting marriage equality. Since the anti-gay comments made by Chick-fil-A’s president Dan Cathy and the subsequent “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” launched by Mike Huckabee, mini-chain Schnipper's will donate $1 from every Chicken Filet Sandwich to a pro-marriage equality group.
