Restaurant owner goes nuclear on customer who posted a negative review9/8/2012
Whatever happened to "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"? Marisol Simoes, the owner of an Ottawa restaurant, has been found guilty of defamatory libel. Why? A one-time diner, Elayna Katz, posted negative reviews of Simoes' restaurant, complaining about the service. Simoes was displeased — and went nuclear with her retaliation, posing as Katz in a letter to Katz's bosses, which included gems like "Am especially into transsexuals and transgenders (being one myself ). I am ... a tiger in the bedroom." Simoes also set up a fake sex-site profile for Katz. Something to think about before carping on Yelp? [Source]
