Retailer defies boycotts, runs same-sex Father's Day ad
5/31/2012J.C. Penney Co. is already facing embargoes from activist group One Million Moms over its hiring of Ellen DeGeneres as a spokeswoman and a Mother's Day ad featuring a same-sex couple. The retailer is showing its support for the gay community again -- this time using a pic of two loving dads playing with their kids in a Father's Day campaign. The ad features "real-life dads Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children, Claire and Mason." The move might spark more outrage from One Million Moms, but thanks to such tweets as @JasonDottley's "I don't really shop at JC Penny's but I will now," any potential boycott is likely to be offset by new business.
Does this make you want to shop there?
