Romantic music doesn't get tortoises in the mood for anything

2/7/2013

Unlike most of Richard Clayderman's audiences, at least these tortoises didn't cough and clear their throats while he was playing. The French pianist set up shop at the London Zoo in a stunt by his record company to launch his album "Romantique," the premise being that the music would be so intoxicating the Galapagos mates would succumb to their desires. Alas, their desire was for food: Carrots from the zookeepers were the only thing to get a rise out of the reluctant reptiles. Looks like the zoo may have to fall back on more traditional methods of encouraging the endangered tortoises to get busy. Like porn. [Source]
