5-year-old who disappeared with grandparents 19 years ago found

1/11/2013

Richard Wayne Landers Jr., whose paternal grandparents allegedly kidnapped him from Wolcottville, Ind., 19 years ago after freaking out about custody arrangements, has been found. Landers' stepfather, Richard Harter, had turned the boy's Social Security card over to a police detective, who traced the number to Richard, now a 24-year-old living under a different name in Minnesota. Cops also followed the trail to the runaway grandparents, who'd raised the boy as their own. No word yet on whether the oldsters will face charges, but Harter described his wife, Richard's long-lost mom, as "the happiest woman on Earth." [Source]
