Rapper Rick Ross emerges unscathed from drive-by shooting

Twitter has exploded over reports that rapper Rick Ross' Rolls Royce was showered with bullets on Monday morning in a drive-by shooting, just as he was ringing in his birthday. Around 5 a.m. in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., another vehicle pulled up to his, police said, prompting him to speed off and crash the rig, though he escaped without being shot. Ross, who derived his stage name from L.A. drug kingpin "Freeway" Ricky Ross (but is in fact a former prison guard), was recently threatened by the Gangster Disciples street gang. [Source]
