The pop star's video looks almost like a movie, highly produced with literal diamonds, special effects and the stunning singer herself fueling its viral reach. Less flashy is this cover video, a bare bones shoot of a folksier, more acoustic and stripped-down version of “Diamonds” by Alex Goot, Julia Sheer and Chad Sugg. Harmonizing three different voices and simplifying the orchestration gives a depth and clarity to this little jewel, and even if it doesn’t have the glittering star power of the original, it’s making “Diamond” viral all over again.
