Tree-climbing inauguration heckler banned from Washington, D.C.

1/23/2013

Rives Miller Grogan is allowed in the nation’s capital for a court date in February, but other than that, the California man is banned from Washington, D.C., for good. On Monday, Grogan sat in a tree for five hours, shouting at the president and attempting to drown out his inaugural address — just a week after he stood up and yelled from the Senate gallery. Since 2009, Grogan has made a shouty spectacle of himself: He's held a doll while screaming in the Capitol Rotunda, marched up the Capitol steps shouting, "Stop killing the babies," and has disrupted the Senate more than once. "God leads him to D.C. to [do] what he needs to do," Grogan's mother said. [Source]
