Legal roadkill lipsmackingly close after Montana bill passes
2/19/2013Provided they can dodge all those zombies loitering by their state's roads, Montanans might soon be free to collect as much roadkill as they like for their dinner plates. A bill allowing individuals to salvage the meat from roadkilled game animals has been passed by Montana's House of Representatives 19-2 and is headed for the Senate. As supporter of the bill, Steve Lavin, observed, "There's a lot of good meat being wasted out there." Bighorn sheep, bears and mountain lion may be on the menu, so adjust recipes accordingly.
