Legal roadkill lipsmackingly close after Montana bill passes

Provided they can dodge all those zombies loitering by their state's roads, Montanans might soon be free to collect as much roadkill as they like for their dinner plates. A bill allowing individuals to salvage the meat from roadkilled game animals has been passed by Montana's House of Representatives 19-2 and is headed for the Senate. As supporter of the bill, Steve Lavin, observed, "There's a lot of good meat being wasted out there." Bighorn sheep, bears and mountain lion may be on the menu, so adjust recipes accordingly.
