Cops say intoxicated man stole ambulance because he was cold1/7/2013
There are various ways to cope with cold weather when the temperature drops. However, we don't recommend stealing emergency vehicles. Medical crews were treating an elderly woman in Longmont, Colo., when they heard a beeping sound coming from their ambulance, indicating that it was in reverse (and in the process of being stolen). Police were able to stop the joyriding vehicle a little later and arrested an allegedly intoxicated Robert Elmar Taylor, 51, who already had an outstanding felony warrant for escaping from the Colorado Department of Corrections. Taylor reportedly took the ambulance because he was feeling cold. No worries, it's nice and warm inside a 6-by-8 prison cell. [Source]
