Convicted killer probably won't get sex change surgery in prison
11/21/2012It’s the old story: boy meets girl, boy murders girl, boy wants to turn into a girl. Robert Kosilek was convicted of murdering his wife, Cheryl. Kosilek, now known as Michelle, has waged a 12-year campaign for taxpayers to cover sex reassignment surgery, but has hit another snag in the quest for the snip. A judge has suspended an earlier ruling instructing Massachusetts to pay for the surgery, pending an appeal by the governor’s office. Kosilek has lived as a woman in an all-male prison since 1990. That makes for 22 years of asking other inmates to leave the seat down. [Source]
