Pro-Romney coal exec lays off employees in the name of the Lord

11/9/2012

Remember that mining exec who allegedly gave his Ohio employees the day off with no pay and ordered them to turn up at a Romney rally? His name’s Robert Murray, and he is none too happy with the election results. In fact, he was so demoralized that he’s turned to prayer — and layoffs. Just one day post-election, Murray gathered loyal staffers around him uttering, "Lord, please forgive me and anyone with me in Murray Energy Corp. for the decisions that we are now forced to make to preserve the very existence of any of the enterprises that you have helped us build," and started laying folks off. Overall, Murray axed 156 workers at his various companies — some thanks for being his lackeys. [Source]
