Infatuated car thief stole his four-wheeled soulmate twice, cops say
12/9/2012Those thieves that boost cars and sell them off for parts? Savages. Robert Ponti is a romantic when it comes to the wheels he allegedly steals. Police in Jurupa Valley, Calif., arrested the 46-year-old man after discovering that a 2005 Bentley Coupe parked in front of his house had been reported stolen. Three days later, the cops saw the same car parked in front of the same house: released on bail, Ponti had reportedly conned the tow yard into releasing the love of his driving life to him. Now on top of the stolen property rap, he's facing a slew of other charges. Wonder if the Bentley can make conjugal visits. [Source]
