Death report: Multiple drugs, booze in Rodney King's system

8/23/2012

Rodney King accidentally drowned in his home pool on June 17, and his death report, released today, shows that drugs were a contributing factor. Lots of drugs. Weed, cocaine, PCP and booze were all found in his system. King became famous in 1991 when a beating he took at the hands of the Los Angeles Police Department was videotaped and broadcast around the world. He made his famous tearful plea "Can we all get along?" after the police responsible for the brutality against him were acquitted in court the following year, touching off riots across the city. [Source]
